Annual Fourth Parade

We started our fourth of July at Arlington's annual parade. Matt says it is one of the biggest 4th parades in the U.S. You might not think so if you sat through it but we love it none the less. Nonni saved our places as usual, getting there about 5am. The kids loved the Elvis' on tiny motor bikes and the floats. I really like to watch the high school bands. By the time we got home we were hungry and tired so we ate lunch and napped. We had our own little fireworks show later that night right here in the neighborhood. I don't think it was legal but we were able to watch out the windows. By the end of the night the kids were exhausted as was I. We are really looking forward to our vacation to Tyler next week. I really enjoy reading your comments so keep them coming.

From Houston to Arlington

Well Luke and I headed down to Houston last Wednesday to get away from the rain HAAA I think we brought more back with us. We also went to celebrate Cam's birthday as well as mine. A good time was had by all and we were so happy to visit with everyone. We spent some time at Nan's house and helped load up one of her critters:) she captured, we stayed at Don and Sally's and added to the mahem there and even went to Luby's and Kemah's boardwalk with Dad and Judy so they could spend some time with Luke and Maddie. We finished up with a great pool party at Mom's and headed home on Tuesday. Luke and Maddie were troopers through the rain on the way back home, and with a little patience and coffee(and big cookies for the monsters) from Collin Street Bakery we made it back safely.

Anyone who knows me will laugh when they find out I have started a blog. I have grand notions of doing scrap booking, running etc. yet I never seem to get it all done:) I am really going to try and keep this updated though. I also have to congratulate my best friend on her impending doom... oh I mean her precious gift from God. That is exactly what it is( the precious gift part) and I'm so thrilled that she will join the motherhood club very soon. Becca and Jason, we are so happy for you guys................ YEAH
